David Farias, born and raised in Watts, developed a deep passion for soccer since he was four years old. Coming from a low income family, David never played club soccer due to financial struggles. After graduating from John C Fremont High School, he continued playing soccer at East Los Angeles College (2011 - 2013), and culminated his playing career as a scholar-athlete at Kansas Wesleyan University in 2013-2015. Upon graduating, David pursued a career in education and served as an Elementary Special Education Teacher for four years. Though his interest in teaching grew, David desired to broaden his impact and combine pursue his passion for soccer. He then began his coaching career, training young athletes in club soccer and high school level. After a few successful seasons, the opportunity to coach at the collegiate level presented itself and Coach Farias joined the staff at coached the University of Nebraska- Kearney, coaching the women soccer team for three seasons (2019-2021). Following his final year, Coach Farias earned the chances to move back home in the Fall of 2021 and became the Director of Soccer Operation at Division 1 Loyola Marymount University. Additionally, David continues to serve the youth as he is coaching three teams with Beach Fc El Segundo.
Coach Farias’ career very much aligns with his mission and vision, developing and establishing first-class soccer training resources/programs. He aims to provide quality training without the causing any financial burden. David believes that every player regardless of their socioeconomic background, deserve to have quality training development and an enriching soccer experience.
